Brendan Tallon

Brendan Tallon was an Irish soccer player and musician who was born in Dublin.

[edit] Football Career

Tallon played his schoolboy football at the famous nursery club St. Josephs of Sallynoggin before signing for Bohemians. He played a number of times in the first team in 1984/85 before the talented midfielder got a knee injury.[1] He struggled to make the breakthrough to the first team on his return and despite some fine performances for the "B" team, he was released by Billy Young. Disillusioned with football, he took a year's break but other factors meant he would never return.

Tallon began to concentrate on music and joined a band called The Coletranes as guitarist and lead singer. In 1991, the band had an Irish Top 5 hit with "Wake Up".

In the mid 90s, Tallon along with other members of The Coletranes set up Revelino and they released their first album in 1994 which was also called Revelino.[1]
