Bren Events Center

The Bren Events Center is the on-campus multipurpose indoor arena in Irvine, California. It is home to the University of California, Irvine Anteaters basketball and volleyball teams. It seats 4,984 for basketball and up to 5,608 for concerts. The facility is named for Donald Bren, a real estate mogul who is a donor to the school. The building was designed by the Canadian architecture firm Parkin Architects, and was completed in 1987.

The Bren Events Center is used for concerts, sporting events, trade shows, conventions, Broadway shows and graduation ceremonies. For trade shows, the Bren features 22,000 square feet of space. Two meeting rooms total 3,420 square feet (318 m²) of space. In addition, there is an outdoor patio known as the Berry Family Terrace, which adds 4,480 additional square feet of space and can seat up to 230.

Many events have been at the Bren Events Center the past few years. Kanye West gave an awesome performance there 4 years ago in 2004. John Legend gave a performance in 2007 and the 2008 NCAA Volleyball Championships were held when Penn State defeated Ohio State and Pepperdine on their way to the title.
