Breich
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Breich is a small village lying in the western part of West Lothian in Scotland. It lies on the A71, the historic Edinburgh to Ayrshire road which now goes to the large town of Livingston 7 miles away. It is situated at the junction to Lanark, Bathgate, Livingston and Linlithgow (the A706).
The village consists mainly of a single row of houses by the roadside and has one pub and a railway station with minimal train services.
Breich railway station is on the Shotts Line. It is only served by one eastbound and two westbound trains per day.
A nearby coal bing (spoil heap) was used as a speedway training track in the late 1960s.
