[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hello Braxiatel, welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed nobody had said hi yet... Hi!

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, --Alf melmac 11:14, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Midnight-Oil-The-Green-Disc-99481.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Midnight-Oil-The-Green-Disc-99481.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 08:08, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] World cup links

I am probably going to revert all your changes to articles such as 2006 world cup. I'm not too sure why you have altered so many articles, switching them from useful redirects to not so useful disambig pages. Disambig pages aren't that useful if there is only one bluelink, almost all traffic to that page will use it.

I thought the 2006 world cup scenario was the correct one until you altered it. With it being a redirect to the most likely page, the Fifa world cup, and then a highly visible disambig link at the top of the page. I really do not think your edits have helped. - Hahnchen 03:18, 5 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Leanne01.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Leanne01.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] Thankyou

Thankyou for restoring the rugby league page. You probably did this a little while ago. But thankyou. The particular section who removed had become an eye saw and with the introduction of the side bar (not sure if you did this too) we had far more space to put a lot of the information we where struggling with. I must admit, I had lost a lot of energy i once had to edit that page, but perhaps i can restart now.

You've shown some energy that i once had. Are you aware of the RL Project? Perhaps we can work on some ideas to better the coverage of rl on wikipedia? POds 06:26, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Celtic Crusaders.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Celtic Crusaders.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:55, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Demons badge.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Demons badge.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:57, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
