[edit] what religion is brandon boyd...
so i've read white fluffy clouds and looked at his pictures and ive realized he practices lucid dreaming.. but what exactly does he support when he says hes learning more towards Goddess, rather than God. I know he believes in peace and serenity, just like i do too.. but what is this goddess and god dealie... fill me in:) please?
- I don't think he has a definite religion, but rather a feeling of spirituality. If you read the lyrics for / listen to Damnation, you can see he considers the other religions, and what it means for him to sin, whether the way he lives... who he is, whether it's dooming him. Zythe 20:59, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
damnation kind of explains it but im still confushed by this maybe i just dont understand it at all... or maybe he is just god himself and everyone should worship him haha kid i kid.. but seriously if anyone knows anything else about his sense of spirituality/religion, be a babe and let me know because i've been dieing to know for so long... has anyone of you practiced lucid dreaming?
[edit] Graduation
I just want to check on something here, the article says he was born in 1976 and graduated from highschool in 2005? (ie, he graduated at age 29), can someone check this?
They probably just meant 1995...
[edit] Brandon on drugs?
I am a fairly new Incubus fan, and I know little of Brandon Boyd. But the lyrics to drive seem to be redeeming from a drug addiction perhaps? so does anyone know the meaning behind those lyrics? or a link where I can read more about him?
- He used to smoke a lot of cannabis, but i don't know if he had any serious addiction
Obviously he used to eat shrooms and acid i meen look at fungus amongus as well as magic medicin from science
Brandon himself has said that Drive is about being controlled by fear, about letting fear have a say so in our decisions. It's not about drugs or kicking off a drug addiction. -Kira —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.63.154.61 (talk) 21:30, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Sexuality
Apparently he says in The Morning View Sessions DVD that he's bi. Google found it... several times. If somoene can find an interview/anything where he says he's something else, disregard. Also: Just a Phase and Leech.
- I saw the part of the Morning View Sessions where he said he was bisexual, but he said so in a joking manner. While there may have been truth to it, it seemed to be said as a joke. Also, I don't see how Just A Phase has anything to do with this, and Leech isn't even supposed to be from his point of view.
-
- OK :) It's just a lot of sites say he is. A lot of people say he is. I just thought him saying it would make it official. Care to transcribe in what context he said it? Other songs that contribute towards it are Favourite Things, Follow (lyrical version) ("Don't ask, don't tell, just follow!" being pretty explicit) and Crowded Elevator.Zythe 18:59, 4 June 2006 (UTC)

- The first response said they've seen it... so you're incorrect. I'd love to see a Youtube clip of the interview. ~ZytheTalk to me! 00:29, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Ask yourself if it realy matters. would his lyrics and other talents be any less awsome if he took it in the ass a few times. im not gay or bi but id put it in his butt.

[edit] Usefulness of Personal Biography / "What this is supposed to be"
- Ok, may I ask what this is supposed to be? Anyway, I'm having the feeling that someone might have copied some text from somewhere else, and I'm not talking about Brandon's personal bio. I'm not even sure if that's supposed to be here. -- Riffsyphon1024 01:53, 20 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- I think the personal bio should not be here. Personal bios aren't the most encyclopaediac references around. P 10:02, 15 September 2005 (UTC)
- I enjoy referring to personal bios on Wikipedia. That's the great thing about this website, I can type in my favorite artist and get results. Incubus has been the most influential band I’ve ever come across. Any time I hear Brandon Boyd’s voice on the radio my heart skips a beat, as gay as that sounds. I can’t help it. I love the screaming, I love the lyrics, I love their music. I am also going to say that I am as superficially in love with Brandon as he is with the models he dates. There’s nothing wrong with that. So let’s celebrate Brandon’s page! There’s nothing better than more Incubus on the net. ~Krissy

[edit] Rant by "someone with a brain for Brandon"
I beleive that if I were Brandon Boyd, a unremarkably talented muscian/artist, I would be greatly flattered by the effect I give on teenage girls/early twenties. But I am not Brandon Boyd, so I have my own look on things. In my eyes Incubus, the band in itself, is very talented and definately on of the best in its kind. But I know as most girls do in the world, guy dont get into your heart by telling you how hot you are. I beleive if you truly want to make an impression on any one that you enamered of that you should not be so superficial. Brandon Boyd i believe that you will never lay eyes on this article, but realtity is a bitch. So i would like to Conclude that i greatly respect and admire you for all your accomplishments and hard work, it seems like it would be such a great thing to experience. I'm not goin to deny myself of the self-satisfaction of letting anyone who reads this to know that even though "we're" quick to judge there is so much more to kow about each individual that we let ourselves discover and I for one want to change that. Shout out to Brandon Boyd: thanks for all the heart racing music and lyrics if you were not so untouchable you would be my choice of mate. You got the style and i think it's original, but just keep on making music and being yourself and i will keep on being a die-hard fan!! Like it says on your latest album(A Crow Left of the Murder)You couldn't have done it without the support(and love)of your fans. I appreciate the music and I appreciate that the band has a unique glee to it! LOVE&PEACE, Someone with a brain for Brandon.
