Brass Target is a 1978 American war film, based on the novel The Algonquin Project by Frederick Nolan and directed by John Hough. It stars John Cassavetes, Robert Vaughn, George Kennedy and Max von Sydow.
The plot centers on the death of Gen. George S. Patton (Kennedy), and a group of corrupt American officers who are trying to steal Nazi gold after the end of World War II. In the story, these officers plan Patton's fatal auto accident so he won't reveal their theft.
