[edit] Brief character history

Braden is the oldest Lavery sibling, and slinks into town in 1998. Before that, he grows up at the hands of their abusive father, Patrick. Braden would often take beatings for his brother, Ryan. It is many months before it is revealed in Pine Valley that he and Ryan are brothers, which is what leads the citizens of Pine Valley to realize that he, not Ryan, has raped Christine "Kit" Montgomery Fisher. Braden flees town after realizing what he did, and is not heard from again — until his dead body shows up, courtesy of his other younger brother, Jonathan.

[edit] Retconning

Braden's history has been retconned on more than one occasion. In 2001, it was stated that Gail Lavery had married Patrick Curry,[2] but later had taken back her maiden name and given it to her children. This was later re-written, as Braden's father's name was later revealed to actually be Patrick Lavery.[3]

[edit] Crimes committed

  • Raped Christine Montgomery. [1998]
