[edit] Reference Desk
Please do not use the reference desk to proselytize. Even as I have taken strong stands in favor of allowing Wikipedians to express points-of-view on, inter al., their user and talk pages, I cannot abide one's cluttering the Reference Desk with questions that are wholly rhetorical in nature; I believe most others who try to answer questions at the Reference Desk share this view. Surely jocularity is fine on the Reference Desk de temps en temps, inasmuch as joking often enables one better to answer other questions, alleviating stress and the like, but polemics such as that of your recent "question" seem untoward and inappropriate.
