A Bottom feeder can refer to
- A bottom feeding fish, which feeds off the bottom of the sea or a lake (or an aquarium).
- a common slang expression for one who can't or won't provide for themselves, and relies on others (friends, relatives, neighbors, etc.) for money or food. Bottom feeder can also be used as a derogatory term for a person of an unpopular and/or undesirable working-class career.
- a supplier which drives down margins for an entire sector, such as a discount market like Walmart, Aldi or Lidl.
