Botifarra (pronounced [butiˈfarə]) is the Catalan name for the Roman Sausage lucanica, made of raw pork and spices, the recipe for which is still used today in Italy and other parts of the world. Also the Portuguese and Brazilian linguiça is one of the heirs of this Roman sausage.
