Bothrophthalmus is a genus of colubrid snakes containing a single species, Bothrophthalmus lineatus, more commonly known as the Red-Black Striped Snake. There are two recognized subspecies:

  • Bothrophthalmus lineatus brunneus (Günther, 1863)
  • Bothrophthalmus lineatus lineatus (Peters, 1863)
