Talk:Bosanski Brod
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Brod is the official name. Take a look at ГРАДОВИ И ОПШТИНЕ У РЕПУБЛИЦИ СРПСКОЈ (Government of the RS Website). --estavisti 01:10, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Official Name is Bosanski Bord as stated by the Official RS web site
Look at the English version of the webstie: Official Republika Srpska Web site states that the town name is changed to Bosanski Brod. The Serbian version no one can read because it is in Cyrillic so they can write their own stuff. But for the official outside world they have the English version where it states that the official Municipality name is changed back to Bosanski Bord.

- It says that according to the Constituional Court of BiH all of the towns causing issues have retunred the former names. Check the list. This even says on the RS Web site.
Check once again:Republika Srpska Government Web site
Thanks and I am serious, Kseferovic 03:19, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Need to be left alone
The current name is officially disputed. High Court suggested that name be changed to Bosanski Brod.
Republika Srpska is refusing to indeed implement Bosasnki Brod as offical city name. The Parlament of Republika Srpska has sent a response to high court stating that name can be only changed to Brod if not Srpski Brod. Untill the high court which is is very biased and very anti Serb, the name official name remains disputed .
The reason high court is not taking look at this yet and chances are is not going to do so any time soon is that if court decides to stick by its original suggestion the Republika Srpska officials will argue that Bosanski Brod name is to suggestive and anti serbian. Since there is really no towns in federation named with a prefix Srpski why should there be a town in Republika Srpska with prefix Bosanski.
And please lay of the Bosnian Flags and Brcko district links and such.
This is Republika Srpska town. Don’t try to Bosnianize it that’s one thing this town is not Bosnian.

[edit] Odgovor/Reply
Nemojte biti fanatici. Sta sam lose uradio? Samo hocu tacne podatke. Sramota oko turaka moj jarane.
Don't be fanatics. What did I do wrong? I only want correct statements/facts. Check the RS official Government website for proof. I am not writing about the town, I am only trying to fix name issue.

[edit] I am not your Friend ... far from it.
This link http://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Municipalities_of_Republika_Srpska
…. ok here you can see what are the name changes suggested by High Court and names parliament is suggesting,
[edit] What is this!
This is a rhetorical question that does not need to be answered, hence the "!" instead of the "?".
- This is an online encyclopedia whose main purpose is to attempt to have correct facts along with neutral points of view
Just because someone posted something on the Simple English Wiki does not mean that one should think that the written list is correct. Also, check the English one. There you will find the correct list.
I am basing my corrections on research and you are not. Someone, and I am not claiming anyone on this page, has posted a threat on my Bosnian wiki homepage. This is absurd. Whoever did it should calm down and realize that facts conquer over extremism.
The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina stated that the name is Bosanski Brod. Then, the Republika Srpska government understood and has agreed to some extend.
Republika Srpska's official web site (Official Republika Srpska Web site), also found above, explains that the name is Bosanski Brod due to the Constitutional Court of BiH's ruling.
- What the Constitutional Court of BiH says, is final, just like the Supreme Court in the US. We are not arguing about the Constitutional Court of BiH, there is a separate article on it, so do not claim it is biased.
Thank You and Grow up (to the person who is giving threats), Kseferovic 22:58, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
Dude you need to chill and stop reediting every article in Wiki that still refers to Srpski Brod as that .
Thanks
I called my relatives in the city and its confirmed the official name is Brod.
Please do us a favor and if you are going to edit a page about the city you are not from and really have very OBVIOUSLY have very limited knowledge about at least make sure you get the name right . \
