COPYRIGHT: This image can't be in the public domain "in those countries with a copyright term of life of the author plus 100 years." It was obviously taken at some point during the 1939 to 1945 war - presumably during the period (1941 to 1943) which Bose spent in Nazi Germany.

IDENTITY OF OFFICER: This person doesn't look like Field Marshall Rommel, nor is his wearing the correct insignia.
