Bosch Rexroth is an engineering firm based in Lohr am Main in Germany. It employs 28,000 people worldwide, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH. It works in the fields of automation, packaging, appliances, electronics, machine tools, and semiconductors.
The company has its roots in 1795, when the Rexroth family established an iron foundry. In 2001, the current company was formed as the result of a merger.[1]
