Borre is a village and commune in the Nord département of France. The population is 540 (1999). The city's name is of Saxon, or Frankish origin.
In this village (route de Sec-Bois) is located the 'Borre British Cemetery' with 370 graves from the first world war.
In 1940 one of the first German planes damaged in the North of France fell there. Plenty of people came there to see this event but when the bombs it was loaded with exploded, one hundred of civilians and militians were killed.
