Boroughmuir RFC is a rugby football club in the Scottish Rugby Union. Originally composed of pupils of Boroughmuir senior secondary school (located at Viewforth Road in Edinburgh) it has long since lost that connection. The club home ground is Meggetland, in Edinburgh and plays in the Premiership Division One. Recent honours include Premiership champions in 2002-2003 and 2006-2007, cup winners in 2000, 2001 and 2005 (making history by becoming the first team to win the trophy back to back, and then the first team to win it three times) and Melrose Sevens winners in 2002.

The club's ground (Meggetland) has recently undergone major development to turn it into one of the premier facilities in Scottish rugby. A new stand and clubhouse were built, along with new pitches for the 2nd and 3rd XV, an international standard all-weather hockey pitch and five-a-side football pitches.
