Born to Be Alive is 1979 album by Patrick Hernandez. The album's title track was a significant pop hit and also hit number one on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Play chart. "Born to Be Alive" (the song) was covered by pop-punk group Los Nikis, with lyrics consisting just of repetitions of Me voy a Benidorm ("I go to Benidorm"). Rumour has it that Madonna recorded the backing vocals for that song and danced on his 1979 European Tour.
