Talk:Boner
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wiktionary definition is the same as the one here. All three parts are covered. Ironic I think. But anyway. I say we try to clean up the page and follow the history of the word instead of limiting ourselves to its definition.
I included a reference to a book called "The Humor of Humor" written by Evan Esar. I don't know why it was deleted, but hey. What do I know?
Aaaaww, Man!

[edit] Batman and Robin boner
What is the definition of boner in the context of this Batman comic book? See: [1].
- Those would be blunder, I think; but it is horribly funny to read those now, when most are more familiar with the slang term for erection.... — Catherine\talk 01:39, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
- It was used in the context of blunder, but I suspect that the writers were aware of the more suggestive definition, otherwise, why would they use the word so many times? This was the perfect double entendre User:ComradeSephiroth —Preceding unsigned comment added by Comrade Sephiroth (talk • contribs) 08:33, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

- I translated as best I could, then move the names to Boner family and List of people by name: Bone-, as they don't really belong on this disambiguation page. Thank you! — Catherine\talk 11:55, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Lock Requested
This page needs to be locked so it can be edited by registered users only. The vandalism this page is getting is out of control. Edits like this:[2] deserve an I.P. ban from Wikipedia. Crap like that belongs at Encyclopedia Dramatica, but for the love of god, not here. Wikipedia was made for educational purposes, not for amusement such as this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr Congeniality (talk • contribs) 09:09, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Having a boner for something
I added "extreme interest in a person thing or idea" to the slang section because of statements like:
"Americans have a boner for tax cuts" or "I used to have a boner for noisy garage bands" etc. etc... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Comrade Sephiroth (talk • contribs) 08:29, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
