Bonnie Urquhart Gruenberg

Bonnie Urquhart Gruenberg is an artist, photographer, author, and certified nurse-midwife. Her most recent book, Essentials of Prehospital Maternity Care (Prentice Hall, 2005, ISBN 0131199900 ), is not only the first major-length work on the management of obstetrical and gynecological emergencies for EMTs and paramedics; it also combines generally accepted practices of EMS with the holistic, patient-centered principles of midwifery. Her other works include Hoofprints in the Sand, a book about the feral horses of the Atlantic coast (Eclipse, 2002 , ISBN 1581500742), and articles in nursing and EMS journals. She has won awards for her fine art and photography, and her illustrations appear in various publications.
