[edit] Biography

Bomberos is a Norwegian-based hardcore punk outfit. Taking the old fashioned approach to the genre, they list bands such as Dead Kennedys, The Misfits, and Nine Pound Hammer as influences.[citation needed] The group was formed by Sven-Erik "Maniac" Kristiansen (vocals, ex-Mayhem), Bjørn Hinkel (guitars), Joacim Weibull (Bass) and Einar "Beinhard" Sjursø (Drums) in 2002. Limited to 500 7-inch Vinyls, their January 2003 debut, Bringing Down the Neighborhood Average, acquired the group much respect in the underground Oslo rock scene, becoming well known for their chaotic live performances.[citation needed] In March of 2004, Hate was released, featuring nine minutes of nothing more than pure, venomous hatred. Pete "Evil" Vegem (bass, ex-Hellride) and Bård "Faust" Eithun (drums, ex-Emperor, ex-Dissection, Aborym, Scum) both joined the band, replacing Weibull and Sjursø. On Faust's official web page[1], he had the following to say in regards to his involvement with Bomberos: "The plan is not to conquer the world, but rather just play music, do some gigs and fuck around a little".
