Bojan Accetto

Bojan Accetto (b. 9.4.1922 in Ljubljana) is a Slovenian doctor and internal specialist. He is the inventor of gerontology in Slovenia. He was professor for internal medicine on the faculty of medicine and for social gerontology in Ljubljana. He established the institute for gerontology and geriatry. He explored the solidification of blood and thrombosis. Most important work: "Starost in staranje" (Age and ageing) - 1986. He became the Kidričeva nagrada for his efforts.
