Bogra Sadar is located at 24.8417° N 89.3750° E . It has 107224 units of house hold and total area 420.64 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Bogra Sadar has a population of 588783. Males constitute are 51.94% of the population, and females 48.06%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 302871. Bogra Sadar has an average literacy rate of 39.1% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
