[edit] LOL Check it out
Gotta love Bode's new video. Features his new trainer, a look at his endorsements, and of course his personal chief chef. This is the Bode I know, taking an idea and seeing how far it go. True, it is on web site I stumbled into via Business Week Online (that Bode got there does not surprise me), so the autobots will nail the reference if I put it on the main page. Let's just say it has ski and space joined before a dot com.
Since there is snow on the ground, does somebody want to add 2007-8 season? --Rcollman (talk) 18:27, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Format changes
Like most of the prose, did not like how everything was jumbled together. Seperated out media and season recaps, no deletions just rearranged what was there in a timeline. Finishes are facts, publicity/media/promotions tend to be loaded with opinions - I split them. Notice there are no comments upon Bode's impact upon the US Ski Team, which could be an opinion :) --Rcollman 14:58, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] NOPV
Yea.... nice prose.
The part at the bottom after his family is taken out of context from an interview and is not an objective POV.
[edit] Inaccurate
Bode Miller never "admitt[ed] to skiing drunk on several occasions". He admitted to skiing with a hangover. In the interest of accuracy, this article should not perpetuate an inaccuracy that was the creation of a sensationalistic media. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.123.117.112 (talk • contribs)
[edit] CVA
Bode did not actually get a scholarship to CVA. Rather, the school helped him by providing him accomodations and making tuition more affordable for Bode and his family, because he showed signs of becoming a promising ski racer.
[edit] Birthplace/Hometown/Residence
Miller's Olympic profile states that he was born in Easton, NH, raised in Bretton Woods, NH, and resides in Franconia, NH, while here it says he was born in Franconia, raised in Easton and no mention of Bretton Woods. So what is it? 65.92.205.17 21:38, 27 February 2006 (UTC)
Clarification Attempt: Bretton Woods is a ski resort that pays Bode Miller a fee to list "Bretton Woods" as his "official" home town. This is a popular practice among ski racers, golfers and other individual athletes.
To the best of my understanding, the Miller family's property lies in remote Easton, but Franconia is the nearest actual town. Children residing in Easton attend the Franconia school system. The nearest hospital is 10 miles away in Littleton, which is where Bode was probably born. --Pemmitt 01:06, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

- Pemmitt is about right. His family property is a couple of blinks over Franconia Town line in Easton, NH. Children residing in Easton, Sugar Hill and Franconia attend Lafayette Regional (K-6) School, located in Franconia. These 3 towns and Bethlehem send their 7-12 grade students to Profile High School. Not sure exactly where Bode was born, could have been at home. --Rcollman 06:16, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Last paragraph
Was the last paragraph written by a biographer?
[edit] Picture
That picture is absolutely not Bode Miller. Someone please replace it.
- Done. In a case like this, don't hesitate to be BOLD and remove the picture from the article yourself. Sue Anne 01:43, 6 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] References now cited
I fixed and added some references and I feel that all sources that should be cited now are. Therefore I remove am removing the tagTomj 01:10, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Biography
Miller currently serves as Director of Skiing at Bretton Woods Mountain Resort in New Hampshire.
Bode? Or his father Woody? Seems highly unlikely it's Bode, but it's unclear and unreferenced. Dubkiller 18:07, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- It is Bode, see e.g. http://www.mtwashington.com/alpineski/ for the source. "Director of Skiing" is just a ceremonial/promotional position, it is not the manager of the ski area. --Seattle Skier (talk) 19:52, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Most versatile racers
World Cup all event winners "Only a few of the most versatile racers have ever managed to win races in all 5 World Cup alpine skiing disciplines during their career." Bode is the only active person on the list and is #3. --Rcollman (talk) 22:09, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
