Body of Evidence is a 1993 American erotic film directed by Uli Edel and written by Brad Mirman. The original music score was composed by Graeme Revell. The film was marketed with the tagline "An act of love, or an act of murder?".

[edit] Plot
The movie centers around the relationship between accused murderer Rebecca Carlson and her attorney, Frank Delaney. Carlson is accused of using S&M-related sex to murder her wealthy older lover. She uses sexual mind-games to seduce Delaney, and is ultimately found not-guilty (only to immediately reveal that she is.) The film drew unfavorable comparisons to the similar plot of Basic Instinct.
[edit] Reception and Controversy
It was nominated for Razzie Awards in six categories; Madonna won one for "Worst Actress". It was also on the 2005 list of Roger Ebert's most hated films.
The film was sexually explicit and released during a time frame when Madonna was very closely associated with sexual content (including the release of her notorious soft-core pornographic photobook "Sex".) Madonna and Dafoe appear frontally nude in graphic scenes of simulated rape, cunnilingus, anal sex and public sex.
