Boamponsem

Boamponsem was the Denkyirahene, that is the ruler of Denkyira from sometime until the 1650s until 1694. In 1692 he sent a trade representative to act as his ajecnt along the Gold Coast.
Boamponsem died in 1694.
Boamponsem is remembered in Denkyiran tradition as a successful ruler. He is also remembered as having been autocratic.
