The image page says "Logo of Project Rastko. Used with permission." Do we have indications that the logo has been released to GFDL? RickK 03:02, 19 Oct 2003 (UTC)

I talked with the head of the project, explained him about GFDL, and got permission to use the text and the logo. Whether he fully understood the GFDL I am not sure. Here, copyright laws are as regarded as traffic laws, with the difference that no cops are there to catch you.

I'm not sure would it be needed to fully clarify the situation as the logo could hardly serve for creating a derived work.

Of course, regardless of the status of the logo, noone can use it to make a new logo... Nikola 11:07, 19 Oct 2003 (UTC)
