The comment about BMW not using car platforms is mis-informed. The BMW development numbers are just pre-production/project designations, which all car companies use. These numbers don't have anything to do with platform (chassis, components) sharing. Which BMW obviously does do, 3 series -> X3, Z series; 5 series -> X5, 6 series etc. Dyl 13:13, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
