Major League Gaming ("MLG") is the first successful console video gaming league that takes place on a national level. Founded in 2002 by Michael Sepso (CEO) and Sundance Digiovanni (President), Major League Gaming is a United States based organization that hosts tournaments in major cities across the country.

As of the 2006 season, games supported by Major League Gaming include Halo 2 and Super Smash Bros. Melee. In past years, Major League Gaming also held competitions for Tekken 5, Gran Turismo 3, and Soul Calibur but all three games were discontinued from tournament play due to consistant low tunout rates.
