More expansion can be done on this article from the Japanese Wikipedia article (ja:ブルートレイン (日本)), and from the various news articles which have come up recently, following announcements of the plans to discontinue the services. One such article can be found here: 東京駅発、消えゆくブルトレ　「銀河」「富士」「はやぶさ」…利用客減、廃止の方向 (Asahi Shinbun, 26 November 2007).
