[edit] Notability

The original Blue Note club in New York was the site of various notable performances and recordings -- I'll add material/citations to this effect.--NapoliRoma (talk) 21:20, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Just as a note: "club" in this instance means "venue" (as in "supper club"), not "social organization", so it's not clear to me that {{db-club}} is the right tag in any event. Cheers,--NapoliRoma (talk) 21:35, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

I've added a citation for notability. To be frank, there are a plethora of web hits on "famous Blue Note," but I haven't found one I'd consider canonical, so I picked one reasonable one as a place holder. There are a lot of references to various polls ranking Blue Note highly, but I can't track back to a good primary source.

(In many ways, this is kind of like trying to find a canonical source to establish Angelina Jolie as "famous", but if this remains a contested article I'll keep plugging along...)--NapoliRoma (talk) 22:22, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
