Bluewhite64 is complete, 64-bit GNU/Linux distribution created in Romania by Attila Craciun prepared to work on one or multi-core processors AMD64 Sempron, Athlon, Opteron, Turion 64, Phenom and Intel EM64T - both on servers and on desktop. The project was established in May 2006 and was built on the basis of Slackware.
The first test version appeared on 30 May 2006
The current stable version had its premiere 4 May 2008 and includes:
- Environmental image KDE 3.5.9, Xfce 4.4.2
- Linux 2.6.24.5 and 2.6.25.1 for tests
- X Window System X11R7.3.0 issued by the XOrg
- Compiler GCC 4.2.3
- Server site Apache 2.2.8 DSO, SSL
- Support for PCMCIA pcmcia-cs-3.2.8
- Programming languages Perl 5.8.8, Python 2.5.2, PHP 5.2.5, Ruby 1.8.6, Subversion 1.4.6
- Internet browser Konqueror 3.5.9, SeaMonkey 1.1.9, Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.14, Links 2.1pre33, Lynx 2.8.5.
- Email program Thunderbird 2.0.0.12, Mutt 1.4.2.3, Pine 4.64
- Other customary components.
