Blues Never Fade Away

Blues Never Fade Away is a song on English pop-rock performer Elton John's 2006 album, The Captain & The Kid. It is about love and loss, particularly the injustice of lives cut abruptly and all too soon by AIDS and murder. It is based on real people John and lyricist Bernie Taupin knew, including John Lennon, Gianni Versace, and a young woman whose name he doesn't mention.
