Blue State is an American romantic comedy film, released in 2007, about a disgruntled Democrat, played by actor Breckin Meyer, known for his previous roles in Clueless and Road Trip. Meyer's character, a dedicated John Kerry campaigner, actually follows through on a drunken campaign promise to move to Canada if George W. Bush gets re-elected. It also stars Anna Paquin, who additionally served as executive-producer of the film.
It was filmed on location in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and Emerson, Manitoba, Canada.
