[edit] Fair use in Blood and Black Lace

This image, BloodandBlackLace.jpg, is being linked here; although the picture is subject to copyright I (Hal Raglan) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws for the Blood and Black Lace article because:

  • According to the Wikipedia:Fair use tag for posters, "it is believed that the use of scaled-down, low-resolution images of posters to provide critical commentary on the film, event, etc. in question or of the poster itself...qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law." The image has been added to the article to assist in critical commentary/discussion of the film in question.

Also:

  1. It is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality).
  2. It does not limit the copyright owner's rights to market or sell the work in any way.
  3. This image is already used on websites, so its use on Wikipedia does not make it significantly more accessible or visible than it already is.
  4. No free or public domain images have been located for this item.
