original description:
050427-N-8943B-001 Port Everglades, Fla. (April 27, 2005) - Storekeeper 3rd Class Robert Franke donates blood as part of "Fleet Week USA". Petty Officer Franke is assigned to the guided missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55), homeported in Norfolk, Va. Fleet Week events allowed crews of six U.S. Navy ships, one U.S. Coast Guard ship, and one United Kingdom Royal Navy ship to take a break from underway duties and enjoy the hospitality of Southern Florida businesses and citizens. In return, the 3,000 plus enhanced relationships with area residents through military demonstrations, community aid projects and one-to-one interaction.
