  • A Blow torch, a simple heating torch, which burns fuel with ambient atmospheric air. In the UK the older, kerosene-fuelled, type was called a blowlamp.
  • A cutting torch used for cutting metal, often used to mean any oxy-fuel welding and cutting torch.

  • Weather enthusiasts often use "blowtorch" to refer to a period of much above normal temperatures during winter
