You might think otherwise, but I think I look a little like
Che in this picture.
My thumb.
Bit about myself--
I'm a classical pianist formerly from Edmonton, Alberta, and currently living and working in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, having finished a Masters degree in chamber music at McGill University.
Usually, everybody starts off doing solo repertoire, but in my studies and lately I've focused on chamber music and Lieder. I'm particularly interested by the early Modernists, such as Alban Berg, Arnold Schoenberg, Francis Poulenc, Charles Ives, etc. More recently I've started performing more modern music such as that of Luciano Berio and George Crumb.
Soapbox--
Lately, my interest in non-classical music has dwindled. This is a bit of a personal struggle, having grown up in my own narrow slice of Western popular culture and finding myself gradually but unequivically shedding these tastes. I have all but ceased listening to sound recordings and pop music.
I thrive on open source software, good cheap food, and disdain poor grammar and usage but am by no means a shining beacon of perfection. I've also developed an extremely green thumb as of late. I think I'm addicted to plants. I had strawberry plants, then they got devoured by thrips. Little bastards.
