Talk:Blessid Union of Souls
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I removed: ..."for emo, adult alternative rock groups like Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, Gin Blossoms, or Shawn Mullins. "
I presume this means Blessed Union of Souls are similar to these other groups? But it's not clear and seems better out of the article.

Isn't this a Christian band? That should be reflected somewhere. W@ntonsoup (talk) 00:50, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Members
The only current listing of members I found on a website were on the Blessid Union of Souls MySpace page. This was confirmed by thier appearance at a recent concert. The "Offical Page" link redirects to a different page with no member listing or concert dates. If you have a reason to revert the members list to something else, please discuss it here. While the Corporation might be owned 50/50, this Wikipedia article is about the band, which for intents of the article, is not the same as the corporation. For instance, the people who played for the band on albums, appeared regularly at tour shows, said "thankyou"s on liner notes, and have been treated as members of the band by the public are eligble to be added to this article as members (former or current). Thier relation to the Corporation BUOS is indepentent. Maybe add a seperate section for the ownership of the name.
For purposes of this article, those who are currently touring as members of a band called Blessid Union of Souls (with no regard to thier association to a same named corporation) should be added as members. NeuGye (talk) 20:47, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Please do not add information about the BUOS Inc if there is nothing cited or verified. I added a section that address the fact that two parties seem to be claiming the name Blessid Union of Souls. One that tours under the name with four members, and one that maintains a website. NeuGye (talk) 21:30, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Please see Wikipedia's policy on Wikipedia:Verifiability. I do not think at the present time that we should add the information. NeuGye (talk) 21:39, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
I like the direction you are going. Give me a minute and check it out.- unsigned
The band was formed in 1992 in Jeff Pence's demo studio on Pete Rose Way in Cincinnati, Oh Changed the date. And corrected BUOS Inc which was formed in 1995. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jpbuos (talk • contribs) 22:50, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Thank You neugye. As you can see in the history I leave your edit alone. My name is Jeff Pence and I founded this group with Matt Senatore and Eliot Sloan. The fact that he thinks he can use the name of the band and I can't is foolish. He is using this site to promote his needs only and I think it should be taken down all together if he continues to put false information. Thank you for your time. [edit] Bad link
I removed the link to the official website for the band. The address listed redirected to a different address. The new page makes no markings of being an official webpage of the band. If it is to be included, it should be listed for what it is. NeuGye (talk) 20:57, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Please do not mark the link as official if there is nothing to indicate that it is. For all we know it is maintained by a fourteen year old girl in Kansas. I will leave the link up, but not as an official website. NeuGye (talk) 21:30, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
I like having the two separate "Official" links. NeuGye (talk) 21:54, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] BUOS Inc
While BUOS Inc might very well exist if I check in Ohio, I deleted the parts about it. The band formation by Eliot Sloan and Jeff Pence is already in the article. The fact that each has thier own group with the name Blessid Union of Souls is also in the article. The legal ownership of the name and company is not needed unless something comes out of it. If you insist on including it, please add some sort of citation and place it in the correct chronological order. NeuGye (talk) 22:29, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
