[edit] Orchard Leigh
How am I supposed to reference something that I know is there because I live there? -- Roleplayer 23:54, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] John Fraser Secondary School
Hi, I have removed the speedy from John Fraser Secondary School and I want to explain why. Secondary schools have sufficient inherent notability to make a speedy inappropriate. If you are still concerned about notability then an AfD is the way to go. TerriersFan 17:24, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, TerriersFan. I wasn't worried about the notability. When I created the speedy, there were a couple things that were opinions. They have been fixed though I see. Cheers, Blastolite 17:31, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi, I understand, however opinion, POV etc is not a ground for a speedy delete. The way to deal with this is either to fix it or apply a suitable tag. The criteria for a speedy is here. HTH. TerriersFan 17:37, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sure thing. See Ya! Blastolite 17:39, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion
I noticed that you tagged the page Orchard Leigh for speedy deletion with the reason "sml info / only main contrib-roleplayer". However, "sml info / only main contrib-roleplayer" is not currently one of our criteria for speedy deletion, so I have removed the speedy deletion tag. You can use Wikipedia:Articles for deletion if you still want the page to be deleted. Thanks! Stifle (talk) 18:18, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] speedy deletion tags
Hi! Just to let you know, I'm pretty sure the standard for speedy tags is to apply them to the top of the article, as it is much easier to see than on the bottom, and therefore more fair to the author of the article. Also, regarding specifically Wserve, I've already tagged it as spam and as a copyvio, and I don't feel it really deserves the {{db-bio}} label too. Its problem isn't that it's not notable, but that it's an advertisement. I wondered on your opinion, anyway. —Keakealani 18:23, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. Thanks for the info! Cheers, Blastolite 18:25, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] notification of speedy deletion and reason
[edit] Speedy deletion of Mud City
A tag has been placed on Mud City, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. PigmanTalk to me 07:16, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Sophie Alessandre, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Eliz81 11:32, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Greens Worldwide
Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Greens Worldwide, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
