this song may/maynot be written by Will Coleman. i am finding this very dificult to prove/disprove, if anyone knows for sure, please help.

i belive the song refers to the pyre burning on the Tor's (at midsummer?)

the reference to leaping flames may be the leaping over the pyre

spriggans are traditionally belived to lurk/live in gorse, and there used to be an annual/ocasional burning in some areas, to remove them.

any proof for any of this would be very beneficial to this pageGwaytya 17:06, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

The lyrics need to be moved to Wikisource regardless. If nothing can be added to the article beyond that, then the article will wind up being deleted. —C.Fred (talk) 17:16, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
