There is something wrong here. Black Mask referred to here should be the 60's magazine put out in New York by Ben Morea and others.
Arguably, the pre-war pulp magazine came first... I guess someone needs to set up a new article for the 1960s Black Mask, and mention it as a footnote on the existing article. Just out of interest, was the later magazine named, in some kind of post-modern manner, after the earlier?
