I did what I could with this article.--Keith, evil dude 00:54, 22 May 2005 (UTC)

I overhauled the article, added some graphics, rewrote the whole thing, but I think it sounds a little like some kind of press release. I'm not sure if it's neutral enough.--72.25.9.54

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Blackbox.jpg

Image:Blackbox.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 14:36, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Remastering

While I expect the Rhino is closer to the master tape and (presuming it hasn't been fiddled with) probably more true to the original recording, a source is needed for "noticeably superior to the Castle discs".

Here's a site that compares the Castle and Rhino boxes: http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Backstage/1303/sv06.htm . Because it is a Geocities page (and therefore self-published), it probably cannot be included as a reliable source. Online fan chatter I've heard describes the Castle as "warmer" and the Rhino as "brighter", which could be from tape generations or just EQ. Both releases are said to be comparable in terms of "clarity" (whatever that means) and headroom.

It would be nice if we could find some sources on the comparative remastering. Otherwise the claim in this article can reasonably be challenged and deleted, even tho I would doubt the Castle release could be "superior". / edg 18:34, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
