"Blanket on the Ground" is a song made famous by country music singer Billie Jo Spears. Originally released in 1975, the song became her first and only song to reach No. 1 on the Billboard magazine Hot Country Singles chart. Further, it crossed over into the Hot 100 pop charts, peaking at #78.
Somehwat rare for a country song, it was a major smash in the UK, hitting #6 there in July of 1975.
