[edit] Music career

In 2004, Blanche DuBois signed a publishing deal with Australia’s largest independent music publisher Mushroom Music Publishing, and their song Slow Motion (from the Slow Motion EP) was featured across the Seven Networkfor advertisements for Australian drama Home and Away (from November 2004 – January 2005).

They also stepped on stages alongside Sarah McLachlan, Jewel, Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins, George, Pete Murray and Ben Folds Five.

To-date they’ve already released an album (Raging Favourites), two EP’s (Slow Motion EP and Love Only Hurts EP) and toured Europe (in 2003).

Their current musical offering is a 4 track EP dedicated to ‘hopeless romantics and serial heartbreakers’, aptly titled "Love Only Hurts". Love Only Hurts is released on their own label Streetcar Productions and distributed through MGM Distribution.

In August 2007, Blanche DuBois will release their new album "All The Things We Never Say". The album will feature 11 beautifully crafted songs produced by ARIA winner Richard Pleasance (Augie March, Deborah Conway, Sophie Koh, Boom Crash Opera), recorded at his ‘Elevated Brains' studio in the hills of Daylesford Victoria and mastered half a world away by Joe Gastwirt in California (Joni Mitchell, Grant Lee Buffalo, Fleetwood Mac, Emmylou Harris, Boz Scaggs, Billy Thorpe, Brian Wilson, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers).
