The Blanchard Valley Hospital, or BVH, is a regional hospital based in Findlay that serves a large part of the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. The hospital has been headquartered in Findlay since 1895, while the Bluffton Community Hospital was founded in 1908 by Dr. J. J. Suter. The hospital later merged with Blanchard Valley in 1995 to create the Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center and the Blanchard Valley Health Association or BVHA.

[edit] History
Blanchard Valley Hospital, located in Findlay, Ohio, has served an eight-county area for more than 100 years. Blanchard Valley Hospital is one of the largest employers in the area with 1,500+ associates and serves Allen, Hancock, Hardin, Henry, Putnam, Seneca, Wood and Wyandot counties in Ohio.
The hospital has gone through a series of official name changes. The hospital was considered Blanchard Valley Hospital since 1895, then its name changed in 1995 to Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center after the merger with the Bluffton Community Hospital.
In January 2007, BVHA and the the two hospitals took on different identities. Blanchard Valley Regional Heath Center in Findlay reverted back to Blanchard Valley Hospital as in 1995. The Bluffton campus was changed to the Bluffton Hospital. BVHA became the Blanchard Valley Health System or BVHS and obtained a new website, www.bvhealthsystem.org, and street address, 1900 South Main Street Findlay, Ohio. Both hospitals are part of Blanchard Valley Health System. [1]
