Blah Blah Productions is a Performing Arts School currently based in Rayleigh, Essex, headed by Michelle Taylor.
The school is well known for its patron, BBC's Any Dream Will Do winner and star of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Lee Mead, as well as the school's 2007 production of Disney's High School Musical, specially adapted for the stage and performed to a cumulative audience of over 3,200 people.
Blah Blah Productions are also known for their high-energy dance routines and strong chorus work, as well as fusing musical numbers with breakdancing and modern dance moves.

[edit] Foundation
Blah Blah Productions was founded in 2004 as the brainchild of Michelle Taylor. Originally the group consisted of just 24 students, and productions included The Wizard of Oz and From Stage to Screen.
The group's breakthrough came in the form of a stage adaption of Disney's High School Musical, which Blah Blah, as they are affectionately known, became the first Essex-based theatre school to perform. It was performed at Southend's New Empire Theatre in a run of eight sell-out shows, with a cumulative audience of 3,232, and a cast of 300.
The group now has two branches: Juniors (aged 5-12), and Seniors (aged 13+). The size of the cast for High School Musical meant Blah Blah had to extend their Benfleet branch to include a Southend branch; however the group are currently based in Rayleigh, and the idea of a specially-built studio is being investigated.
[edit] Staff
The production staff are led by director Michelle Taylor and assistant director Emily Balls.

[edit] Patronage
Until late 2006, Lee Mead worked part-time as a vocal coach at Blah Blah Productions. However, upon leaving to participate in Any Dream Will Do (and winning), he became a patron of the group.
[edit] Shows and Schedules
Blah Blah Productions work two productions a year:
- A variety show (approx. October-December)
- A full musical production (approx. March-June)
- Occasionally, Blah Blah Productions participate in Star EFX's Sunday Night Live at the West End's Her Majesty's Theatre. This has happened on three occasions, most notably and recently performing at the 10th Anniversary, in front of a sell-out audience of over 2,100.
[edit] Agency
The school's popularity led to an agency being formed, under the same name of Blah Blah Productions, and headed by the same staff. Recent student successes include 12 students in the West End, including one in the Sound of Music alongside Connie Fisher.
