Blackburn is a small town just northwest of Aberdeen, Scotland, and is situated in Aberdeenshire.[1][2][3] It has a significant commuter population, and also has an industrial estate. It has a small primary school and a £5 million community hall which was publicly opened by Princess Anne in 2005.[citation needed] The village's population stands at approximately 3,000.
