Black Mesa Test Range

Black Mesa is a rocket testing facility of the US Army in Utah.[1] Many rockets of the Pershing type have been launched for testing from Black Mesa between 1963 and 1971.

Black Mesa is well known from the computer game Half-Life and its expansions. These games mostly take place in the Black Mesa Research Facility, a secret, "Area 51-style" laboratory located partly underground. However, that installation is located in New Mexico instead.
