See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags/Free licenses for a list of acceptable licenses. We ask for a general license release so that pretty much anyone can reuse Wikipedia content, thus indirectly bringing more knowledge to more people.
- See WP:COPYREQ for instructions on how to request a copyright holder to release their work on under a free licenses. —Remember the dot (talk) 04:38, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
