I happened to stumble upon an article about the origins of MANY Albanian, Montenegrin and Herzegovinian clans on Projekti Rastko - Shkodër / Projekat Rastko - Skadar. It explains that the Bjelopavlići descended from Bijeli Pavle (Pal i Bardh), a son of Leka, an Albanian military captain from Metohija, of the Dukagjini clan. The Bjelopavlići are blood-relatives to the Kosovar Gashani as their ancestor, Gavrilo (or Gasho in Albanian), was the brother of Bijeli Pavle. We should bring all the folk traditions and versions as possible to this article in order to make it richer, yes.
